Identity Verification (CIP)
Under federal Patriot Act regulations (31 CFR § 1020.220), we verify your residential address, date of birth, and Tax ID (SSN or ITIN). Sanitized instantly with zero raw storage.
Strategy & Contribution
Select an age-calibrated glide path (Conservative, Moderate, or Aggressive) and choose an automated monthly or weekly contribution starting from $25.

What is required to open an account.
To comply with U.S. financial regulations and establish brokerage custody in your legal name, you will need the following four items:
1. Age 18+ & U.S. Residency
You must be at least 18 years old and currently reside in the United States or a U.S. territory.
2. Physical Street Address
A valid U.S. residential street address where you live. Federal banking regulations strictly prohibit P.O. Boxes for primary verification.
3. SSN or ITIN
Your Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, required by federal anti-money laundering laws to confirm identity.
4. U.S. Bank Account
An individual checking or savings account with a U.S. financial institution to fund recurring contributions and receive withdrawals.

SIPC Account Protection
Your investments are held with Alpaca Securities LLC, member FINRA and SIPC. Securities in your account are protected up to $500,000 (including $250,000 for cash claims).

How long does account approval take?
Most accounts are verified and approved within minutes through automated identity checks. If additional verification documents are requested by our clearing partner, review typically takes one business day.
Is there an account minimum?
There is a $0 minimum to open an account. When you choose to begin funding, recurring automatic deposits can start from as little as $25.
Why doesn't Setright use passwords?
Passwords are the leading cause of account breaches. Setright uses modern FIDO2 passkeys, which leverage your device's secure biometric hardware (Touch ID, Face ID, or Windows Hello). Passkeys cannot be phished or guessed.
